Thunder Up!

Here are a few things I love:

  • Oklahoma City
  • Oklahoma City artists
  • Oklahoma City Thunder!!
  • GRAFFITI art/ wall murals!
Some guys from a local screen printing company, Tree and Leaf Clothing, have done an awesome mural on the side of Uptown United's building. The mural is 10 ft high and 20 ft wide!

See more photos of the mural here.

Wishlist from ShopGood

I thought I'd put together a little wishlist of items I REALLYREALLYREALLYREALLYREALLY want from a local store here called ShopGood.

I love what they're about, which makes it even more fun to shop there. (& I quote..)
"Shop Good is a clothing and accessories store located in the heart of Oklahoma City that’s good for the planet and good for our neighbors. we want to make looking great a little friendlier and giving back a little simpler.

built on core values of community, creativity and generosity, SHOP GOOD features a broad range of high-quality products—supplied by nonprofit organizations or socially-conscious, earthy-friendly manufacturers—within an innovative not-just-for-profit business structure. we also carry ethically-made accessories and gifts handcrafted by local artists, as well as design and print our own tee shirts that encourage originality, compassion and a little homegrown love for Oklahoma.

our focus is providing our city with an accessible, eclectic and fun outlet for thoughtful shopping where every purchase benefits a deserving community development project."

1. Navy Audrey Blouse 2. Ssekos 3. Friend of a Friend handmade upcycled purse 4. and just about everything from Green Couch Design (especially cactus plants.. surely surely that's a plant I can't kill)

Check out Shop Good on their blog, 'like' their facebook page, follow them on twitter,  and most definitely drop by for a visit at 3 NW 9th St. Oklahoma City. *very near bricktown, right off of broadway- near the train tracks. Also next door to Iguana Mexican Grill, Sara Sara cupcakes, and Pachinko Parlor.*

*note- If the post is tagged with "Keep It Local", that means the shop accepts the Keep It local cards I posted about here, and you get a discount when you present it!
